Thy has been passionate about women's health, pregnancy, and birth since she had her first child at 21. Her empowering birth experience led her to pursue Midwifery, and she acquired her Master’s in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University. Before becoming a Midwife, she served Dane County's birthing families as a Registered Nurse at Meriter Hospital for 16 years in various roles such as antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum care. As a result of her passionate care, she has been recognized as a Pinnacle Caregiver and has received multiple DAISY nominations.

As a midwife, Thy believes in building a strong, compassionate relationship with her patients. She recognizes that they are the expert of their own body, and she has the clinical experience and knowledge to guide and support them through this time of significant change. The collaboration between Madison Midwives and the OBGYNs at Physicians for Women creates an ideal environment for families seeking to integrate a holistic framework of midwifery with modern medicine.

She offers expert, compassionate, trauma-informed care in:

1. Individualized preconception, prenatal, natural family planning, and contraceptive care
2. Physiological labor and birth support that integrates midwifery care with evidence-based medicine
3. Personalized well-woman visits throughout the lifespan
4. One-to-one breastfeeding and lactation support
