Emily Jalabert, MSN, CNM
Emily's journey into birth work began at the age of 11 when she witnessed the births of her younger siblings. Initially aspiring to be an OB, her path changed during her pre-med studies at DePaul University in Chicago after attending her niece's birth with midwives in Minnesota. This experience led her to pursue midwifery, become a certified doula, and establish a successful doula agency in Chicago. She furthered her education with a master's degree in nursing at Marquette University in Milwaukee, where she also educated nursing students in women's health.
Emily's dedication to birth work and women's health brought her to Physicians For Women in Madison, a unique and supportive practice recommended by her midwife colleagues. Here, she works alongside passionate midwives and OB colleagues to provide up-to-date and compassionate care. Emily cherishes the opportunity to support families through pivotal life moments, honoring their individuality and guiding their care to achieve their goals.
Outside of her professional life, Emily is devoted to her family, with three young children and a supportive husband who keeps everything running smoothly while she is at the clinic or attending births. She spends her free time deepening relationships, visiting family and friends, running, hiking, exploring nature, and cooking delicious meals for her loved ones.
